Getting around
What should we wear?
Cocktail attire for Sunday's ceremony and celebration. Examples: dresses, jumpsuits, stylish separates, suits, sport coats, button-downs, or slacks. Ties are optional. Please wear something festive and comfortable for dancing.
What's the weather like?
Early September in Austin is usually warm, often in the 90s. Pack light, breathable clothes, sunglasses, and sunscreen, especially for Saturday's daytime events.
Are kids included?
Yes, kids are welcome. The Sunday celebration will include dinner, dancing, games, and festivities.
When should we arrive on Sunday?
The ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM. Please plan to arrive by 4:45 PM so everyone has time to get settled.
What should we expect at the ceremony?
A personal ceremony honoring Evan and this milestone, followed by dinner, dancing, games, and festivities.
What about gifts?
Many guests choose to give in honor of the occasion. Monetary gifts are traditional for a Bar Mitzvah, but please do what feels comfortable.
